Custom Orthotics
Custom Orthotics
Not everyone needs orthotics. At 416 Physio, we take an assessment-first approach to determine whether custom orthotics are appropriate for you. Our goal is to understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and whether orthotics could meaningfully improve your comfort, function, or ability to stay active.
Your orthotics assessment is completed by a registered physiotherapist or chiropractor and considers your foot and lower-limb function, movement, footwear, activity demands, symptoms, and goals. When custom orthotics are appropriate, we use 3D digital foot scanning to capture the shape and contours of your feet. Your orthotics are then individually designed and manufactured through Evolve Orthotics Lab.
Custom orthotics can help support the foot, redistribute pressure, and address specific biomechanical or footwear needs. But orthotics are only one tool. Depending on what we find during your assessment, recommendations may also include footwear changes, exercise, strengthening, mobility work, or rehabilitation—either instead of or alongside orthotics.
Custom Orthotics: $450
Insurance coverage and requirements vary between plans. Orthotics at 416 Physio are assessed and dispensed by a registered physiotherapist or chiropractor. Please check with your insurance provider regarding coverage, prescription requirements, and eligible providers before your appointment.

Custom orthotics may be helpful for a variety of foot and lower-limb concerns, depending on the individual and the factors contributing to their symptoms. These may include:
Plantar heel pain / plantar fasciopathy
Foot and arch pain
Certain types of Achilles tendon pain
Forefoot pain or pressure
Bunions and other areas of increased pressure
Ankle and lower-limb symptoms
Discomfort with prolonged standing or walking
Sport or activity-related foot symptoms
Footwear-related concerns
Not every condition—or every person—requires orthotics. Your assessment will help determine whether orthotics are likely to be beneficial and whether other strategies, such as footwear changes, exercise or rehabilitation, may be more appropriate.
