Purpose as a physio

To help people of all ages & levels reach their potential and optimize their recovery. Throughout my treatment sessions, I use a combination of techniques: sometimes I teach exercises, modify activities, use manual therapy, while other times the emphasis is on education and honest conversations about outcomes and expectations. Every person and injury is unique, my job is to look at the big picture and find the right pieces of the puzzle.

Interests

I grew up eating, sleeping and breathing sports. In university I competed in track- middle distance running. I also dabbled in soccer, tennis, yoga, and even tried fencing! Nowadays I enjoy running, playing the piano, spending time with our elderly dog, Stella, watching sports (Go Leafs), and cooking. My pandemic hobby is apprendre le français!

Future professional development plans

Besides trying to keep up with the latest research/evidence, I am planning to further my knowledge in treating foot and ankle injuries.

Fun fact

I was originally trained as a Physical Education teacher in Hungary!

Purpose as a physio

My aim is to create a connection with every patient who walks through my door. Together we can build a strong therapeutic alliance and collaborate to pinpoint the root cause of their injury. By listening to every patient’s story, a comprehensive treatment plan is developed. Throughout our treatment sessions, I combine personalized exercises with manual therapy and education to maximize goals and outcomes.

Interests

I’m a passionate sports fan! I love cheering on our Toronto teams and Canadian athletes. I grew up playing hockey and continue to love putting my goalie pads on! I’m an avid reader, especially when at the cottage, sitting on the dock with my dog and having a beer. In my downtime, I enjoy watching BBC mystery TV shows and listening to music.

Future professional development plans

I would like to further my knowledge in vestibular physiotherapy.

Fun fact

I spent my summers when home from university working at the Bick’s Pickles factory in Dunnville, ON.
