  • This is our opportunity to listen carefully to your concerns followed by questions to help us gain clues as to the cause of your problem. We will focus on you and you will be heard in a confidential and comfortable environment without judgment. A physical examination is performed where we will ask you to perform movements relating to the area of complaint. Your chiropractor will then use their hands to gently assess the quality of movement to feel for restrictions. During this assessment, we will also rule out any major health concerns. We recommend that you attend your visit wearing loose comfortable clothing to enable ease of movement and treatment.

  • Chiropractic care is recognized as one of the safest non-drug, non-invasive forms of health care. Our chiro is a trained and licensed Chiropractor with extensive experience. Although chiropractic treatment has an excellent safety record, no health treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects. Many patients feel immediate relief following chiropractic treatment, but some may experience mild soreness or minor discomfort that typically fades within 24 hours.

  • Short answer, you can say no! Chiropractors often use adjustments or manipulations, which are quick thrusts applied to a restricted joint. This “pop” is known as “cavitation and is actually caused by the sudden release of pressurized gas from within the joint. At 416 Physio, your healthcare provider will never push you to get treatment that you are not comfortable with. We will always work within your level of comfort.

Carl uses a variety of techniques to help you reach your goals:

    • Soft tissue therapy such as massage, active release technique or instrument-assisted soft tissue work

    • Joint mobilizations

    • Electronic modalities such as TENs

    • Acupuncture and dry needling

    • Rehabilitative exercise programs and advice
